Dhaka--(UNB) – Bangladesh Shilpa Bank yesterdaygranted loan worth about Tk 9 crore for a polypropylene woven bag project at Sonargaon in Narayanganj district.

The sanction was given at 344th meeting of the BSB board of directors with board Chairman Prof Dr Ashrafuddin Chowdhury in the chair, said a press release of the bank.

It said 50 percent of the total project investment would be made by the entrepreneurs.

Under the project some 3.6 crore pieces of polypropylene bags will be made every year, which will also employ 299 people. The project will save Tk 250 crore in foreign exchange.
